Portland Spencer Academy observes local authority admissions protocols, with priority given to children with special educational needs or additional support requirements.

The Admissions Policy includes detailed information on the applications and admissions appeals process; the special consideration given to applications on behalf of children with special education needs and support requirements; and the criteria used when the school is over-subscribed.

Admissions 2023-24 Consultation

The DFE Admissions Code requires admission authorities must consult on their admission arrangements at least once every 7 years, even if there have been no changes during that period. The Code outlines who must be consulted.

The Spencer Academies Trust, of which Portland Spencer Academy is a part, is proposing no changes to the academy’s admission arrangements from those which currently apply.

If you wish to make any comments on the arrangements, please notify Portland Spencer Academy by email at info@portlandspencer.com or write to the Academy at the address above, noting “Admissions Consultation” on your letter.

The consultation is running from 1st November 2021 to 13th December 2021. The closing date for the academy to receive comments is 12th December 2021.
